The hardness of the gears after heat treatment is about HRC58~62, traditional technology is grinding process. With the increasing competition, grinding process already can’t meet the customers requirements on the high efficiency and low costs. With the appearance of cbn inserts, turning instead of grining process become widely used in most industries, which not only help improve the efficiency, reduce the machinery costs and repairing costs, and is environmental without coolant.
The gears have high hardss and somethimes exist interrupt turning condition, it requires high on the cutting tools. It needs high hardness, excellent abrasive resistance, strong impact resistance and Crack resistance and make sure not chipping.
